Enter the date you will be entering Mexico. If you purchase your policy before the day it becomes effective it will go into effect at 12:01 AM on the effective date and will cover you for the entirety of the day you enter. If you purchase your policy on the day you are entering Mexico, your coverage becomes effective at the time you purchased your policy. The time you purchased the policy is date stamped and printed on your policy.

Enter the date you will be leaving Mexico. The policy will cover you for the entirety of the day you leave. All policies end at 12:01 AM (just after midnight) on the day after you leave Mexico. The maximum policy period is 1 year. If you are not returning from Mexico (i.e., ex-patriots) you can purchase the policy for 1 year and then renew the policy each year thereafter as long as you keep your US plates and US drivers license.

Our carriers offer different options for deductibles which apply to coverage for Theft of or damage to your vehicle.

FIXED DEDUCTIBLES: This option is similar to  deductibles in the U.S. and Canada. Deductibles are set at $500 for collision and $1000 for theft, regardless of your vehicle value or the amount of damage.  Additional advanced coverage Deductibles, vary by insurer, from $500 to $1000 for Partial Theft and Vandalism. The "FIXED" deductible option is required by most leasing companies and lienholders. By choosing this option your premium will be a little higher but your deductible will remain fixed. This means you will save significant money in the event of a loss (especially on vehicles valued over $25,000) when compared to the Percentage Deductible option

PERCENTAGE DEDUCTIBLES are the standard for Mexican Tourist Auto policies and remain the only option offered by most other agents. While this option reduces the premium by a few dollars, in the event of a claim it will cost you much more. If you choose to insure your vehicle using this option, the deductibles are 2% of the vehicle value for collision and 5% of the vehicle value for theft. But a claim is also subject to a minimum dollar amount. The MINIMUM deductible amount varies with each Mexican Insurer and the type of vehicle (car, SUV, pickup, RV, etc.). Other Vehicle types like ATV/UTV always have fixed deductibles for $2,000 for both collision and theft.

Please select "Yes" if you will have DRIVERS that are under the age of 21. We do not recommend allowing drivers under the age of 18 to drive in Mexico.

If you do not have collision and theft coverage on your current policy, please select "no" for this option. Only vehicles which carry collision and theft on a current (non-Mexico) policy are eligible for collision and theft coverage in Mexico.
